So a crazy loud bird woke us all up wayyyy earlier than any of us usually wake up this morning. Wasn’t happy about it, but this toast (& a little ☕️) certainly helped brighten my mood.
@erewhonmarket paleo bread toasted & topped with mashed avocado, spinach, local sunflower sprouts, a hard-boiled egg, pink salt & pepper.
Now off to @wholefoods w the fam to stock up on goods for the week. Then I’m seriously looking forward to getting a massage with my mama this afternoon!

Blueberry pie oatmeal... a longtime fave over here
Bring 1 cup almond milk to a low boil, reduce heat as soon as it starts bubbling and add in 1/2 cup oats, 1 tbsp ground flax, pinch of cinnamon & 1/2 mashed banana. Mix well and cook for 5 - 10 min over low heat.
Meanwhile heat up some blueberries in another small pot with a drop of water.
Pour the oats into a bowl, cover w the warmed blueberries, a drizzle of almond butter & a sprinkle of hemp seeds.

This morning’s cozy breakfast bowl @onedegreeorganics sprouted organic oats cooked in cashew milk on the stovetop with cinnamon & 1/2 a mashed banana. Topped w the remaining banana, blackberries sautéed in coconut oil, @spreadthelove creamy peanut butter & hemp seeds. So satisfying!

Tried something a little different this morning and made a creamy coconut millet porridge

Millet is gluten free pseudo-grain that is high in dietary fibre (8.9g per 100g). It’s a great substitute for those who are sensitive to traditional rolled oats or for young tummies. It takes slightly longer to cook than traditional porridge but it’s worth the wait. Recipe coming soon
