This is a simple example of how people with different goals can still eat the same foods, but the portions (and thus CALORIES) have to be altered to them .

Two things to remember. Everyone’s nutrition plan is individual to them. There is no black and white, wrong or right. Similarly, neither of these meals are bad or good. One is a better choice for one person and one is a better choice for another .

Most likely, the lower calorie meal will be a better choice for someone trying to lose body fat. The higher calorie meal will be a better choice for someone trying to gain muscle mass

But, hold on. What if the person trying to lose body fat still has 850 calories remaining and only one meal left? In this instance the higher meal would be a better choice in that moment, in the context of that individual. Got it?

How to P R O G R E S S when you’re not progressing
It can feel like you’re stuck if you’re not increasing weights in the gym every week... ️♀️
BACK is one of those muscle groups for me I’ve been training for 7 years now and honestly haven’t increased my back weights by much...
But that doesn’t mean you can’t still P R O G R E S S !
The game changer : MIND to MUSCLE connection
People talk a lot about using hip circles + glute activation exercises to fire up sedentary glutes, but HOW ABOUT OUR UPPER BODY? who tf knows how to fire up these muscles♀️
This is how I’ve continued to progress, despite not being able to add more weight:

1️⃣ WARM UP using resistance bands or light DBs / cables to fire up your muscles
2️⃣ Focus on SLOW and CONTROLLED movements ⏱ consciously think about your time under TENSION
3️⃣ ISOLATE each side where you can (e.g. single arm rows) this allows you to concentrate on each side intentionally
4️⃣ (specific to upper body) Imagine your arms are a BRIDGE to the weight; their purpose is just to CONNECT you to the weight and nothing else
☝I find this helps me to relax other muscles I unintentionally use to compensate✨
At the end of the day, what matters most is that you’re patient and consistent with yourself; the results will naturally come Hope this helps you!
