“Having a daughter that's hard of hearing is so beautiful and so challenging. She is such her own person. She lives in this special little world that she gets and loves, but it also comes with challenges and frustrations. . . There are times when she wants to tell me something so bad...she will break down and clench her teeth with frustration because I just don't know or I'm trying to push her to use signs instead of just pointing. That can be really hard at times. . . But then I see growth where I will sign something to her and I don't think she gets it, but then the next day she uses that sign with me and I acknowledge it and she lights up with giggles because we communicated successfully. It's one of the most gratifying feelings because I know she's trying and wanting to learn. She is the bravest and teaches me everything.❤️” - @alvanandsaige . .
