European museums contain some snuffboxes known to have belonged to Frederick, produced to designs by Jean Guillaume George Krüger (1728-1791), three of them are now in the Hermitage The Hermitage piece incorporates large diamonds set over foil of different tints, which creates a colourful effect. Интерьер, задуманный Лео фон Кленце как преддверие картинной галереи Императорского музея, призван напомнить историю античного искусства. Стены декорированы 80 картинами на сюжеты из древнегреческих мифов и литературных источников. Художник Г. Хильтеншпергер выполнил их восковыми красками на латунных досках в подражание античной технике энкаустики. На сводах помещены барельефные портреты знаменитых мастеров европейского искусства, среди которых и автор проекта Нового Эрмитажа — Лео фон Кленце. В историю итальянского искусства Рафаэль вошел как "гений гармонии". В его творчестве наиболее полно воплотились идеалы Высокого Возрождения. "Мадонна Конестабиле" - одно из ранних произведений мастера. Несмотря на то, что стиль художника к тому времени еще не сложился, картину отличают превосходная композиция, красота линейного ритма, благородство цветовых созвучий и совершенство образов, все то, что получит блистательное развитие в его зрелом творчестве. Весенняя прозрачность далекого пейзажа созвучна образу Марии, юной и прекрасной, как окружающий ее мир. Картина сохранила первоначальную раму, украшенную гротескным орнаментом и исполненную, очевидно, по рисунку Рафаэля. До перевода живописи с дерева на холст рама составляла с картиной одно целое. В 1871 г. картину из собрания графа Конестабиле купил Александр II и преподнес в дар супруге, императрице Марии Александровне. Raffaello (Raffaello Santi). 1483-1520 Madonna and Child (The Conestabile Madonna) Italy, Circa 1504 Raphael entered the history of Italian art as the "genius of harmony". The ideals of the High Renaissance were best embodied in his works. The Conestabile Madonna is one of the early works by the master. Despite his still unformed style, the picture is remarkable for its superb composition, the beauty of the linear rhythms, the nobility of the colour harmonies and the perfection of the images - everything which was to be developed to such heights in Raphael's mature work. The transparency of the spring landscape in the distance is in harmony with the image of Mary - young and beautiful like the world which surrounds her. The painting is still in its original frame, decorated with grotesque ornament and evidently made to a design by Raphael himself. Before the painting was transferred from panel to canvas, the frame and the painting formed one united whole. In 1871 the Russian Tsar Alexander II purchased the painting and presented it as a gift to his wife, Maria Alexandrovna. #hermitage_museum #hermitagemuseum #visit_hermitage
