“You are enough just as you are” Meghan Markle ///Since I last posted it’s been a trying time. I did another clean out this weekend after my X-Ray showed I was distended and full. Starting Sunday I had ear pain and head pain. The rest of the week was consumed with every other chronic condition flaring, especially my joints becoming painful and hard to move. My adrenal glands sensed the stress and have been in adrenal fatigue all week. Today I was able to go in and be diagnosed with a sinus infection and a virus on top of that. The combination explaining why my entire body is now flaring. The cause due to being immunosuppressed. I started an antibiotic tonight that I will do for 10 days. I also will be on 20 mg of hydrocortisone three times a day during this period as well. Feeling old symptoms come back with a vengeance has tested my mental strength. I miss doing things. But that last sentence is powerful. Last year, this wouldn’t have disrupted my life like it is now. I was too sick to do much of anything. But this year I’ve been living- doing things and seeing the world. I now expect everyday I can go out and do something. In a way I’m grateful I miss my energy and ability to do more than rest. For now, I hope my chronic illnesses calm down as the infection and virus dissipate. My caution level regarding germs will be higher to try and prevent this. But I’m going to bed tonight so grateful for the friends and family who’ve been so supportive and understanding of me this week. Here’s to creating better memories very soon. #thepeacewithinthefight #grateful #memories #geneticdisease #chronicillness #raredisease #immunosuppressed #acutesinusitus #nogerms #flare #adrenalfatigue #adrenalinsufficiency #goodvibes #antibiotics #hydrocortisone

Today I open up my heart and share our struggles with Luca’s severe eczema over the past 6-months. It’s a post I’ve had on my heart for quite some time, but have not been in a place to share- until now. It’s the most vulnerable and honest blog post I’ve ever written. I hope that it helps people better understand eczema, what Luca has been through, and that it may help someone out there navigate this condition. Link in bio.

UPDATE: The night was ok, and the CT came back clean. However she does need blood today. So we will get that this afternoon and if things go well discharge this evening!!! .
•
Today we went in for our weekly labs, and appointments. The past three days #kaystrong has been overly tired almost lethargic so we were expecting she needed blood, but her hemoglobin is fine. .
•
Needless to say the doctor decided to give her stress dose of her hydrocortisone steroid to see if that could be the issue and low and behold she perked up! .
•
They are ordering a CT scan of the head as a precaution, as well as more labs to rule out any viruses. .
•
Praying it is just her cortisol level, but they are admitting us for observation. We have plans this weekend for her friend to stay and hope we will be out by then!! .
•
This is the hardest part of the journey. She is so upset so please pray for her spirit. .

My favorite maternity dress, now my favorite spring dress

So Lilli is constantly wearing a bib these days even when she isn’t drinking a bottle. Check out my stories to see why!
.
Baby girl is drooling so much! The constant change between wet and dry is causing her to break out in a rash all around her chin. Keeping a bib on her makes it easier to give her a quick wipe down. In the meantime, she has got a nasty rash so here are a few tips to help with your baby’s drool rash☺️
.
1. Keeping their skin around the drooling as dry as possible is number 1 prevention, of course!
2. Make sure to clean under the chin daily especially when they have a rash and dab the area dry afterwards
3. Aquaphor ointment or Vaseline helps create a barrier between the skin and moisture
4. If baby’s rash still isn’t improving, Lilli has had great success with hydrocortisone 1% cream, but please verify with your pediatrician first before using this on your baby
.
For Lilli, I apply a very small amount to a Q-tip then gently apply it to the rash area under her chin. I also use the hydrocortisone for her eczema on her elbows which improved within two days. If your pediatrician recommends it for your baby’s skin conditions, please only apply a small amount and to discontinue if condition worsens and/or after max of 7 days even if no improvement. Prolong use can lead to skin infections and/or thinning of the skin. So only apply a very thin layer to your babes and avoid anywhere near their eyes and mouth❤️
.
These are only a few tips for your baby’s skin rash. Comment below what has worked for your baby?☺️
