I still have to drill/tap 4 new holes in each rail mount plate and turn some spacers, but I made a little progress on the idler pulley mount for my #hypercubeevolution rail conversion tonight. Test fitting rails for the #hypercube upgrade. I don't really like this arrangement so I think I'll make an plate to sit here and move the rail down flush with the bearing housing. I'm using the 15mm extrusion and a delrin roller to preload the bearings on the x axis (15mm) rail. The 12 mm rails are nice and tight, but the larger rail has a little play. I ran the bracket in the vibratory tumbler last night and drilled the motor holes this morning. Just need to drill 2 more holes for mounting to the 3030 extrusion... Then make the other side. This will eventually be a part for converting my #hypercube to MGN linear guide rails. Now if I could just get over this fever. I drilled 4 holes and now I'm back on the couch. Second motor mount finished! Unfortunately I found that I chipped my 1/4" endmill when the first (heavy cut) attempt had a tape/glue failure.
