I’ve changed my squats from traditional, to the slightly more savage overhead squat. ⠀

It’s exposed weaknesses I didn’t know I had. In turn, forcing growth onto myself.⠀

Here’s an awesome pro tip for if you struggle with flexibility:⠀

Put plates below your heels.⠀
⠀
You can see that with the plates below my heels, my flexibility improves, because without them my heels would be unable to stay grounded throughout the movement. ⠀

This change will help me grow, which is essentially my goal in life - to always be growing and levelling up!⠀
⠀

Foundations & Flexibility ⠀⠀

They say you can’t build on a broken foundation, this applies to everything in life whether it be relationships, houses or even your fitness.⠀⠀

A large part of your physiques foundation are your wheelz [aka legs] since they hold hella muscle, and therefore will burn crazy amounts of energy than, even when your bod is at rest. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Almost every movement you do pulls power from your legs, that is why I focus on them so much. [Not to mention - who doesn’t want nice legs & a good butt]. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
There are a million and one ways to train your legs, but these are some of our favourite compound movements.⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Front squat, back squat, overhead squat. Each one having its own strengths and weaknesses and each one is able to favour a different part of your leg.⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Flexibility is another part of your fitness that without it, you can’t build a strong foundation. They really go hand in hand. You need the proper flexibility to get the full range of motion for whatever muscle group your training. If you aren’t flexible enough, you run the risk of having weak spots in your muscles [which can also lead to injuries]. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Check out the difference in our grips in the video and you can see how flexibility is causing us to have different strengths. While my grip forces weight onto my shoulders, @rondeau11 causes him to have big forearms.⠀⠀

Try this chesticle chiseler to polish off your next pec workout .
.
Working your cable flys on the bench helps you keep yourself in position to better isolate the pecs by eliminating torso movement.
.
With this set up you’re going to really feel it deep in the outer and lower pec.
.
I pull the bench out a couple of feet past the pulleys and set it up at just a slight incline and then set pulleys just below the bench height.
.
When you lay on the bench, the pulleys should be above and slightly behind you.
.
With your mind/muscle connection in focus, accelerate through the contraction, aiming for your hands to meet about 6 inches above your belly button.
.
Squeeze the contraction for a count and then control the negative, following the path back towards the pulleys until your hands are about level with your shoulders.
.
I do 3 sets of 10-12 and then a fourth run-the-rack set, hitting 8-10 reps then dropping the pins one notch and going again for 4 continuous sets of 8-10.
