Short Story, Must Read!ThankYou25-03-19, Monday: There was this chotu beggar - Nitin, near marine, who came up to me and my brother @mundadanipun and begged for money, I could not resist his needy face so I bought him the same dabeli that I was eating saying ‘पैसे नहीं यें खा इधर ही मेरे साथ’. He took it and said ‘मम्मी को जाके दूँगा’. Then what Then our stereotype thoughts about beggars- they throw away food, need money for drugs and alcohol, they all are trained and made for begging, it’s a business, etc.... With these thoughts, I asked him those typical questions...He then ran away! On my way back I saw that same kid with his mother and father, his mother was feeding him the same dabeli!! Also he had told his mom about me giving him that, so his mother told him ‘दीदी को ThankYou बोलों’ To add to it, Nitin’s father was a rose seller there, the mom took out a rose and asked Nitin to give it to me I was so overwhelmed with this pure gesture❣️ The most appreciating thing was after giving me the rose, Nitin naively said ‘चलो १० रुपय दो’ And then his mother scolded him and sweetly taught him not to behave this way and say sorry Looking at all this, I was so confound with how these people are so kind hearted And how we have made up our minds about them! Very recently someone I know was complaining about the heat in Hyderabad and how it would not effect my skin because it probably won't effect my skin tone and how it would make this so called fair person tanned or piggy pink. . This weird obsession of being two tones lighter, being less darker is definitely a mental disorder. Using products worth thousands and filters that make us look nothing like the real person. It's been years and I've failed to understand why the color of my skin that Western people sit in the sun for hours to get is something that is talked about and is up for discussion always. No we really don't care, honestly I care a tiny rats ass about how Indian people love and prefer fairer skin toned people. It just sickens us.what the hell is this black and white color anyway Go to school and learn how skin tones are referred as. Indian skin tones are Brown dusky, Dusky, Wheatish and Fair. Как обратиться к помощнице по дому? ⠀ Помощница по дому в Индии называется maid (горничная) и по идее очень скрашивает жизнь индийских домохозяек. На практике зачастую бывает наоборот, но это тема для отдельного разговора.. ⠀ Индийцы при обращении к помощнице обычно используют слово ди/диди, что означает сестра. ⠀ Помощница в свою очередь обращается к хозяйке/хозяину дома, как ди/диди (сестра) и бхай/бхийя (брат), ну если они (хозяева) совсем уж в возрасте, тогда анти/анкл (тетя/дядя). ⠀ Т.е. никаких сэр/мэм/мадам, которые повсеместно используются в Индии, в коммуникации с мейд не предполагается. ⠀ Я обращаюсь к своей помощнице по разному: ⠀ иногда по имени - Билкис; ⠀ иногда по имени с уважительной приставкой - Билкис джи; ⠀ иногда - диди, ⠀ А иногда - систер, потому как моя помощница, называет меня исключительно систер и никак иначе. ⠀ Дело в том, что она какое-то время работала в Дубаи и знает пару английских слов. Она у меня вообще очень славная (тьфу-тьфу ). ⠀ А как вы обращаетесь или обращались бы к своим помощницам? По имени или на индийский манер называли бы сестрой? ⠀ ⠀ ⠀
