The Stone ringfort Grianan of Aileach ⚪The Grianan of Aileach is a hillfort atop the 244 metres (801 ft) high Greenan Mountain at Inishowen in County Donegal, Ireland. ⚪The wall is about 4.5 metres (15 ft) thick and 5 metres (16 ft) high, 23m in internal diameter. ⚪Inside it has three terraces, which are linked by steps, and two long passages within it. ⚪It was the royal citadel of the Northern Ui Neill during (5th–12th cent.) The Legend states that the giants of Inishowen are lying sleeping but when the sacred sword is removed they will spring to life reclaiming their ancient lands. . M A L I N H E A D Warm spring sunset on the famous coast line. I must admit that this was my first visit to this place. I was at Malin Head so many times, but I never managed to get at this most often photographed location where #StarWars were filmed. Its a great spot if you're travelling with friends and you want to go for a stroll with stunning views or you're a lonely wolf and you want to spend some time with yourself and nature. C H U R C H O F I R E L A N D One of the first old churches I visited in Ireland. I discovered this place for the first time several years ago when one of my friends mentioned the abandoned church somewhere near old graveyard in Inishowen. The original parish of Moville was divided into Upper and Lower Moville in 1781, this church as far as I known belonged to Uppper Moville parish. The building is abandoned and currently put up for sale. Seeing it in such good condition after all these years I decided to breathe life into it. Mon traître de Chalandon est touuut en haut de la liste des urgentissimes ! Il y passe début de mois, obligé. Walden de H.D. Thoreau. Je l’ai dans ma PAL depuis bien trop longtemps (environ 1 an et demi ...), mais c’est le genre d’œuvres majeures qu’il faut prendre le temps de découvrir. Je sens que c’est son mois ! Inishowen de Joseph O’Connor. Cette petite brique a l’air si belle, j’ai hâte de m’y plonger. Taqawan d’Éric Plamondon. Suivre la Wild Atlantic Way était vraiment un projet qui me tenait à coeur! Les paysages côtiers de l’Irlande sont à couper le souffle! Bien sûr le temps nous manquerait pour la faire en entier, nous nous étions donc concentrés sur certaines portions qui relient Londonderry à Galway. Ce matin d’octobre je m’étais réveillé très tôt pour arriver avant le lever du soleil sur le site que j’avais repéré le jour précédant. La conduite à gauche, et les petites routes étroites et sinueuses m’avaient tout de suite mis un peu de pression, « vais-je arriver à temps? » Après un trajet plus long que prévu  j’arrivais enfin sur le spot à Malin Head sur la péninsule d’Inishowen (Donegal).
