I wanted to try making my sourdough long before I gave it a go, but it seemed ridiculously complicated. Should I knead it or slap it (...uh what?!?) and don’t get me started on all the ratios and percentages. Math is not my strong point and I really don’t want to break out a calculator to make a loaf of bread I spent forever reading so many conflicting instructions that my head spun. I’m glad I finally took the plunge and I now have a few attempts under my belt. These ones from yesterday aren’t my best attempt but they taste better than any supermarket bought bread. Plus it was heaps of fun experimenting with adding some beetroot to one. Definitely going to work on this some more and include some walnuts There’s not much of this left as I may have been smashing it back with homemade sauerkraut
