Happy #monday guys. I am sure you all are supa happy after yesterday’s match. I am after our small getaway with family to Mussoorie this weekend. It was a relief driving down there leaving the 48 C of Delhi. It was a lot of fun, laughs & lazing around this past weekend. And yeah I didn’t do a #fathersday post either Instamom fail right I even had the post n pic ready but just didn’t feel like #instagramming yesterday. Maybe later.
.
Anyway the post today is about #happymondayrevolution that we Mom tribe share with you. .
I read this post by @meditatingmommy about her little one’s 4th bday. And how the little one was excited each day counting up to her bday & that we as adults should also live in each moment rather than focus too much on upcoming events like a vacation or a party. I totally relate to this. Often we look forward so much to things which are apparently the high points in our lives that we forget to live in the moment. After all it’s but natural to look forward to a vacation or a get together or even Friday for that matter, as these are supposedly happy times.
I realised reading her post that this is what I used to do before my son was born. I used to live for weekends, look forward to vacations, upcoming big events & in the meantime probably didn’t pay attention to the small happy days in between. And after the event/ vacay/ weekend was over I felt distressed again, waiting for the next one again already.
.
But this wasn’t the case when I was a child. As a kid, Every day used to be great, remember? Post baby, I unlearned that again; from my son I learnt to enjoy each moment again. Everyday is beautiful & exciting, even if it doesn’t involve the so called ‘high points’ or ‘Camera worthy’ moments. Now I dont really build up these so much in my mind that the in between becomes a drag fest. I don’t want to drag myself from moment to moment, vacation to vacation. So yes the big moments are welcome & lovely but so are the little moments in between. Let’s live in these moments more too. Here’s to cherishing each moment of our lives .
Chk happy tribe of moms for doses of happy
