A lot of people stylists and clients asked me to post a photo of how my silver transformations look like after few weeks, this client came to me for silver transformation 3 month ago then came back yesterday to retone her silver back in. Client was extremely happy with the way it faded, she claimed it looked very natural and got lots of compliments but she followed carefully all maintenance steps I asked her to do, purple shampoo, shampoo once a week with cold water, eliminate the use of hot tools, use a deep conditioning mask once a week, and the most important she did was installing a show filter to soften the water and I think that’s what kept her hair in good color for a long time beside purple shampoo. This beautiful client has been coming to me for 5 years, first visit 5 years ago I took her from damaged, over processed blonde hair to black and since then I have been coloring her hair black, sometimes she did it at home herself with boxed color just because I wasn’t available, 2 month ago she contacted me to go lighter, yesterday I spent 11 hours lightening her black colored hair. Honestly I can say that this was the hardest transformation I have ever done but I did it because I take every transformation as a challenge with my self. Formula: I first used Pravana color extractor twice to remove as much of her artificial color as I can, then I used @oligopro extra blonde lightener with 20 vol and @olaplex to lighten the whole head in long foils taking then sections, I had to open each foil 3 times to reapply a new fresh mixture every 90 minutes until I reached level 8-9 golden blonde, at that point I had to stop lightening to save the integrity of the hair since this was our first attempt to go lighter planing to try another time in August. Rinsed hair, did Olaplex 2 for 15 minutes then pre toned hair with @redken shade eq 9b mixed with processing solution for 20 minutes, rinsed hair, towel dried then applied @pravana 7N with 6 vol and squeeze of blue additive on roots to blend and cancel some of the warmth, then applied pravana 9.22 with 6 vol and squeeze of blue additive on the rest of the hair for 30 minutes. Some ladies they only have heavy grey around their front hair line the same as this beautiful client of mine so just frame her face with silver strands to blend her hair line grey roots with the length of the hair in an artistic way, this method wouldn’t take a very long time just about 3-4 hours and client will leave very happy. I used @guytang_mydentity shadow roots with 10 vol to tone her hair to match her natural charcoal roots then I created front grey strands to match her roots as well using @oligopro extra blonde with 20 vol and @olaplex for 40 minutes then toned twice with @redken shades eq , first 1/2 oz 9v+ 1/2 oz 9B with 1 oz clear + 2 oz or processing solution for 20 minutes, rinsed then 1/2 oz of 9B + 1/2 oz of clear mixed with 1 oz of processing solution for another 20 minutes. Transformation Monday, black to Pearl icy blonde. Total service time was 8 hours. All color brushes and foils used in this transformation are by the amazing @framar Formula: first I cut about 4 inches of her fried ends and layered around her face, then I did a balayage with back combing technique just middle length to roots to create more blonde areas on the Middle to ends of the hair used @oligopro extra light with 20 vol and @olaplex to achieve pale blonde level 10, had to remix new lightener after 1 hour and apply it to each foil in the stubborn areas, and spray water and towel dry on areas that already been done so I won’t over process the hair, total time for lightener 4 hours. Rinsed hair , towel dried, applied Olaplex number 2 for 20 min, rinsed, towel dry then colored roots with pravana 1/2 5N +1/2 5A with 10 vol to blend roots with the balayage blonde areas with the wow comb then applied redken shade eq 1/2 9 p ( pearl )+ 1/2 9V platinum ice with equal amount processing solutions for 20 minuets on blonde hair areas, rinsed again, shampooed, and styled with 1.1/4 inch curling iron.
