I’m very much *not* a beach person - I'd rather be hiking up a mountain trail! But when your best friend visits and says she needs beach and sun, then off to the beach we go! We didn't swim but had a very relaxing time walking along the water and catching up. I hadn't seen her in months but we picked up right where we left off - don't you love that about certain people?! ⚡️ I'm also not a hat person, but she let me borrow hers and I'm kinda obsessed with it! Funny that death & life’s fleeting nature has been heavy on my mind, cause yesterday I got the news another friend died. ⁣ ⁣ Another one too young, too soon. ⁣ ⁣ I don’t have much to say, except grief never gets easier, each time hurts a little different than the last. ⁣ ⁣ I didn’t really internalize or feel it truly until the end of the day. ⁣ ⁣ Reminder to let yourself process & grieve in your own way. ⁣ ⁣ Let yourself feel your feelings as they come. ⁣ ⁣ You may feel numb. You may feel nothing at all. ⁣ ⁣ You may feel overwhelmed, anxious, distraught. ⁣ ⁣ There’s no right or wrong way to grieve: whether it be a death, a loss of a friendship, a dissolution of a romantic relationship, a move, a job change. ⁣ ⁣ Grief is a sneaky bitch too. You think you’re okay, and then it hits. ⁣ ⁣ Just know what you’re feeling is okay, as a human being, our connections are EVERYTHING, so deeply intense & attached. ⁣ ⁣ Anytime someone dies, it’s a reminder of our own mortality & we can’t help but ponder our own fate. ⁣ ⁣ This is normal. This is okay.
