This is something that is hard for me to post, but allows me to realize how far I’ve come! In February 2017 I was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer at the age of eighteen. I was about to graduate high school, and my entire world came crashing down. I felt horrible everyday. I had a 7cm tumor in my leg and had to undergo a year of chemotherapy treatments that were a week long, 24/7 every two weeks. I had 31 radiation treatments, and then surgery to remove part of my left fibula. .

NOW, 2 years later and I am THRIVING! I started weight lifting 8 months ago, when I was cleared to workout my my doctor and never looked back. During my treatments I learned everything there is to know about bodybuilding, so that when I was cleared, I would be able to know what I was doing. It helped me to focus on something that I was excited about, and now here I am! Life is crazy, but you are tougher than you know!

I am still recovering from whatever hit me yesterday. Feeling a lot better because I actually got a full night sleep for once. I (as much as I hate it) am skipping the gym again, so that I can make sure my body is ready to crush it tomorrow!

Today kicked my booty

I skipped the gym today because I woke up super nauseous. Hoping that tomorrow will be better, because I still feel pretty yucky.

But it’s always a good reminder to listen to our bodies because they always know what’s best! Everyone needs rest days, and today was one of mine. but don’t get me wrong, I’m all about pushing yourself in the gym, just not too hard that you risk injury.

Remember that even though some days are hard, tomorrow always comes around the corner and always has the potential to be better. The gym always makes me feel better because for an hour or so it is the ONLY thing I’m focusing on. Find something that sets you on fire and do it every day!

WOW... This has been a long time coming! -
If you asked me six months ago if I would have EVER created a fitness Instagram, I would have laughed at you. But, here we are, and my passion for health and fitness has never been stronger. -
I hope that I can inspire people and spread awareness of the REAL stuff that instagram lacks these days. There is so much information being flooded through our phones, that we lack judgement sometimes, and just follow because the feed is pretty, or that person looks good. -
There is so much more to fitness and health than copying someone on Instagram just because the have a lot of followers or post good workout videos. -
I’m here to throw down some truth bombs and inspire people to see the REAL. -
