In my younger years, my fragrant life was very clear...literally. I only wore sparkling aldehydes or soliflores . I had a vehement distaste for anything I considered “muddled”. The clarity of Chanel’s “Cristalle” was my reference for most every fragrance I bought. However...I also loved the dry-down of perfumes that smelled most “human” and skin like. The original “Chloe” left a faintly musky tinge I could still sniff wafts of the next morning, and RL “Cool” was incredibly warm (ironically) on me by mid-day. I didn’t quite have the perfume verbiage to understand my penchant for a more lusty fragrance experience...until I sprayed an amber a few years ago. The warmth, the comfort, the density, the animalic and yes, the chewiness of amber has kept me captivated ever since. This is the genre I am drawn to. The genre I dream of, the genre which makes me feel most happy. A spray on blanket of ultimate joy!
