That's what it's like here - Nana's perogies! . Except these aren't Nana's toppings. Things you'd never expect on a Perogy but after you try it, you cant imagine why not! . Mexican street corn, coconut curry, Mediterranean eggplant, Pulled pork (15 hours smoked!), spicy jerk, truffle mushroom to name my favourites. Actually I liked all the ones I got to try. . . So we were in downtown Markham at the Pride of Canada carousel on Sunday and wanted a treat. Went to @patisseriefleurto which is just a hop skip and a jump away! . We tried their new summer real fruit drinks. I got the peach slush and the little one got the strawberry smoothie with cheese sea foam. (There’s also milkshakes!) . Dang, it was fantastic. It was full of fresh ripe peaches, you could see and taste the puréed peaches! I loved it and had already been back to have it again! . The smoothie was great too. I didn’t get to try it but know it was because once the little one grabbed a hold of it, she had it in a death grip and refused to share with anyone.. That girl knows what is good! . . I’ve been back since this first visit. They also have beautiful, delicate and delicious pastries! This is now my must visit place in downtown Markham! . Have you been? . I've been coming here for over a decade. Its 'my' secret place. If you got a gift from me, chances are it came from here! . Fun fact: theres a red icewine. It happens under freak conditions like the ice storm from 3 years ago. Of course it's my favourite! It happens very very rarely. It's wrong to wish for another storm right? . So the three bottles with all the metals? They are (l to r) the late harvest vidal, vidal icewine, and that cabernet franc icewine I love so much! All that bling are the awards they won at domestic and international competitions!! . You can order a cheese plate, and a glass of wine and sit on the back patio or wander down to the pond and relax in the gazebo. . Select one of their terrific wines and on the way out dont forget to grab one of the -cute as anything- hand painted jars of wine jelly. . So I visited the cutest Japanese (ish) restaurant in King City!! It’s on Keele street in a small section of cute little shopppes And Restaurants. . I got the agedashi tofu and this chicken Katsu. . Crispy fresh from the oven. The sauce was thicker and sweeter than I’ve had before and I liked it!! Oh and it was served with PURPLE rice!! . The place was small and busy, paper cranes spread around, and the nicest people working there. Worth the visit for sure! . I think I’m going to have to go back and check out the area!
