I’ve been writing some 2 mallet solos recently and decided to test one of them out on the #xylosynth this weekend. It often helps my creativity to change up the sounds and instruments I write on. On April 2nd, 2018 my dad Charles Garcia Islas Jr. passed away. He was my biggest supporter and an untiring advocate of my music. Fortunately I was one of many people in his life that he supported with his encouragement and advice. In honor of his memory and his birthday which is this Sunday November 18th, my mom Susie and I ask that you pay his generosity and love towards others forward. This week we request that you show an act of kindness towards someone else. Even better if it’s someone you don’t know! He would be proud of you (even if you had never met him) knowing that you had a small part in making our world a better place one small act at a time. For him and for us, Thank you.
