Big love for simplicity, no fuss needed! I start to realize more and more that how I feel about myself, influences the fashion choices I make and the clothes that I wear. I don’t need to stand out (and get appreciation by others to grow my ego) and new clothes on days when I love myself and feel thankful, and therefore appreciate what I have. I’ve been wearing simple outfits like these all the time, lately. I've been wearing my black @teym_official tee non stop since I got it (made of organic cotton and ethically produced in Portugal), it truly is the perfect tee for me and I'm thinking of getting myself the white one as well (although I'm a bit worried about stains because of clumsiness ). I'm also wearing my good old oversized vintage Levi's 501 (at least 100 wears in a couple of years already) and my sandals from @bottines_handcraftedfootwear (ethically made in Greece of eco leather). I'm holding my vintage oversized trenchcoat, a gem that I found this spring and a piece that I wear almost every day. I love every piece in this outfit and I love this style. The zero waste lifestyle is very much like my grandmothers idea of thrift. Finding creative ways to use up food, mend clothes and look after your belongings was second nature to the war time generation. They couldn’t afford to waste anything as it might have meant starvation. I find reading books and resources from the past very helpful and inspiring for my modern version of make do and mend.
