And what gets me the most... is the hypocrisy. The hypocrisy of women who claim to support you for being a powerful woman yet when you become “too big” for their standards and comfort they assume you only got there because of a man. Shame... what a fucking shame. Some of y’all need to re-evaluate yourselves and acknowledge your internalized misogyny, patriarchal views and toxic masculinity residing within you. As human beings we all need each other to grow but we each have our own individual, personal power to lean on. When I show up to any Spiritual, Ceremonial initiation my loudest prayer and intent is, “I am here as the representative of women. Representing myself, my mothers, my sisters, my daughters, my friends. For the ones before me, the ones in front of me and the ones to come.” Especially when I’m the only woman in the room full of men. @knelia_ and I met a couple of years ago in Finland during my guest at @paradisehelsinki. That time she got the scar on the neck that now shows up on the picture completely healed. That was a beautiful moment we shared. I drew everything freehand and the whole process of designing on her skin was really special for Cornelia. It’s for this, that she wait for me 2 years to come back to continue her scarification project. I didn’t come back since then so she decide to start an adventure to Berlin to come and find me to have another powerful ritual like last time. She gave me some references of her desires but as always we drew freehand like tradicional scarification is done. The vibe of this piece 100% freehand is really tribal, far from looking like a “print”.
