From 1st year Dr. Kim’s psych classes to my 4th year social psych thesis. From trying out every food place on campus to eating only burrito bowls every other day at 1280. From being a enthusiastic first year wanting join PSA to becoming VP in 4th year. From having barely any friends in first year to ending up with lifelong friends. It’s been an amazing journey. Going to miss running from MUSC to the GO bus stop, nearly missing the bus almost every other day. Taking classes with Dr. Carter and amazing professors like Dr. Torres. Organizing PSA events and chilling with the team. Sleeping on the couches on the second floor of MUSC. Hating the run from KTH to ABB. Standing in the starbs line before night class in summer or winter just to have iced tea. The stressful breakdowns and sleep deprivation were more than worth it. Idk how these 4 years flew by so fast. McMaster has been a safe haven for me throughout these years. I’m gonna miss you, Mac #MacGrad2019

Well, it has been quite a long haul McMaster, but 5 years later it’s all over!! After 3rd year, I went part-time to start pursuing my dream of being a film composer and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Though it made university a challenge, I was able to take the time needed to get my business off the ground while slowly finishing my degree. I could have dropped out years ago (and almost did a few times) but instead I decided to finish the degree at my own pace, while focusing on bigger goals. I learned not to worry about the social constructs that we are put into and to ultimately follow what you are called to do no matter what, even if that goes against the general path that most people take. To push the needle forward we must strive to realize Truth and spread it through our craft. For me, university showed me that I don’t learn well from an institution, inadvertently helping me to prioritize self-education, dreams and Truth over the education systems of the commonly traveled road. That being said I got the piece of paper and I’m happy to now focus fully and completely on my way to serve the world & our God through music. To pursue a meaningful life and setting my aims high.
