What is mindfulness?
It’s basically the art of thinking.
Since it’s intangible, the tricky thing with kids is explaining what thinking is though.

Here the author encourages children to visualise their thoughts in the form of weather conditions, making it easier to acknowledge them and to keep them under control.

Mindfulness requires some practice but the rewards are huge: greater levels of attention and happiness, decreased stress levels and reduced risk to experience anxiety and depression.

Because when we manage to see that our thoughts are just thoughts, we are empowered to decide which ones we want to pay attention to.
Thoughts are just clouds ☁️

Flowers and nature are the best tonic. The research is unanimous too - better mood, concentration, less physical and emotional illness, a positive body image AND respect for our bodies

Whenever I need to feel connected, the images of a favourite place in nature are a great start for soothing, grounding meditation. Or noticing little things in nature - the clouds, birds...kids are the BEST at this.
