From all the Good Ol' Glass, I like using Minolta glass the most on my Sony camera. Call me crazy, but I feel there is still some Minolta DNA in modern Sony cameras. I also heard the Sony G and GM lenses are made in the old Minolta factory in Sakai..

Minolta MD 50mm F1.7 doesn't sound like anything special at all, but it’s actually one of my favourite “nifty-50s”. Not very sharp wide open, but amazing by F2.8, with great colours and contrast; flares and bokeh are nice too! I love that "Leica" style dot on the side also. No wonder Minoltas are often called "Poor Man's Leicas" and not just because they look so similar from the side! Minimalistic interview setup today! My #SonyA7III + the good, old #SonyFS100, paired with #MinoltaMD 24-35mm and 35-70mm lenses! Humble setup, but produces great images, which is all that was needed and that the most important thing!

Throwback #TBT to one of the most underrated vintage zooms out there: Minolta MD 35-70mm F3.5. Yes, the range and speed are somewhat underwhelming by today's standards, but this lens produces beautiful images! It has great character and it's pretty sharp too. In fact, back in the day this lens was considered to be so good, even mighty Leica decided to base their Vario-Elmar R 35-70mm zoom on this very lens! Being an old Minolta, this lens can now be bought for under $100 on eBay. While Leica will still set you back close to $1k What's is your favourite vintage zoom?
