I had headshots taken over a month ago, and I’m so excited to finally share one of them with you all as I announce that as of today, I’m officially a contestant for the 2020 Miss Georgia Teen USA pageant!!! It’s crazy to think about how much I’ve changed these past few years and especially this past year the most. In middle school, I was extremely tomboy, wearing a camo hoodie almost everyday with a camo backpack. And if I wasn’t wearing camo, I was in gym clothes. I was also extremely shy in middle school and never did anything outside of my comfort zone. Starting in high school, I began to become more involved in more activities where I was able to make new friends and started to ease away from being extremely tomboy so my style began to change. Over this past year, I have changed in ways that my younger self would’ve laughed at, but I’m so proud of the woman I am becoming. I now am not afraid to have my own opinions and to be myself whether others approve or not. I’ve learned that being independent is a good thing and that I can not allow others to effect my happiness because at the end of the day, that’s what it is, is MY happiness. From growing up as a tomboy to being called “the most girly” now, I am so amazed of the way I have changed. And I am so glad that I am confident enough with myself to be able to step out of my comfort zone and to compete in this pageant. I never thought I would grow up and want to compete in pageants, but now I couldn’t be happier and more excited for this opportunity!! . .
