I’m a huge disappointment to my parents. I’m a doctor, the first with that title in my family, but am not practicing in the way they want. I was a medical officer in the United States Navy but left to pursue different dreams. ⠀ ⠀ I have a MBA from UCLA. I worked full time in San Diego and drove through LA traffic for 3 years to get that degree. My parents were excited because they saw me running a hospital one day, but that’s not what I want. I was screamed at and told on the night of my graduation that I needed to change my lifestyle. ⠀ ⠀ I’m single. I have no children besides my furry babies. I also believe in the core truth of love, our connection to God, to Source, and our inherent worth because of this connection. All of this is hugely disappointing and upsetting to some members of my traditional religious family. ⠀ Just 2 weeks ago, I was told that I am wasting my life by choosing not to work full time for anyone else, forgoing benefits and retirement to instead build this business. ⠀ ⠀ I’ve decided not to take to heart theirs or anyone else’s limiting beliefs or fears. I love my parents, I know they love me, and I know that overall they are proud, but this is my life. I call the shots. I choose my path. ⠀ ⠀ My passion is to heal, uplift, and inspire women. My purpose is to remind women that we are powerful co-creators of our destinies. That we are worthy of living the lives we are meant for. That other people’s fears have nothing to do with what’s possible for us. We don’t have to settle. We are worthy of traveling the world. We are worthy of indescribable love. We are worthy of waking up each morning with gratitude, knowing that more good will come. We are inherently Divine. We ARE Goddesses.
