"This photo was taken at Rila Monastery, the largest, and I believe the most beautiful monastery in Bulgaria, situated about 100km from the city of Sofia. Knowing that it was built in the 10th century, I didn't expect the place to be immaculate - I was completely wrong. The place is stunning, filled with colorful artworks and the inside of the church (which unfortunately I wasn't allowed to take photos) is probably one of the most beautiful churches I've ever seen in the whole of Europe. Right above me in this photo is the beautiful frescoes that covered the entire dome of the church which was done by several famous Bulgarian muralist back in 1846."
