Even though it might not be much, I’m so proud of my little workout room. Most of my items were bought second hand (except the #pelotonbike), but this room has helped propel me towards a healthier lifestyle. It has become my sanctuary when I am stressed, my escape from reality, and exactly what I needed to bring balance back into my life. I never thought I’d be one of those people that turned to exercise to relieve stress, but I’m SO glad I finally found this outlet in life! Not only am I happier and less stressed, but I’m also healthier. Down 25lbs and 29 inches overall, I’ve come a long ways from the girl I was 8 months ago. Here’s to a lifetime of progress in my little second hand workout room that I love so much. I’m nowhere near where I want to be. I’m not back to pre baby weight or my pre baby size 3’s and 5’s. And I don’t have the same body I once did before my daughter. I now have stretch marks, excess stubborn back fat, wider hips, and large and in charge thighs. (Hey they save the food that drops, though!) • • But what I also have now, is a beautiful daughter pushes me. Every ever so EARLY morning, she wakes up and I see her cute face and it reminds me that in order to be able to take care of her, I need to take care of me. Mentally and physically. I may never look like I once did, and that’s fine. I want to look better. I want to feel better. And I want to do better. And I will, for not only her, but for me too.
