While making my way through South Dakota, I decided it was a better time than any to finally see this world-renowned American memorial. The flags and pillars that framed the viewpoint of Mount Rushmore were a pleasant surprise which I didn’t even know existed up until now. I easily located Arizona’s flag (arguably the coolest US state flag), but was unable to find Vermont. Only once I was in the editing process I noticed the pillars were labeled. New England Roadtrip Day 3: After getting skunked at Cadillac Mtn we got coffee and some popovers from The Restaurant at Jordan Pond and hit the trails. Explored for hours and checked more of the park. We found ourselves at Somes Sound for sunset.
