#100NeuronProject prep with some mismatched socks in the back . I've been working on this huge hoop for a while now! It's 10-inches large and all sorts of lovely I honestly can't get enough of it's rainbow-y goodness, it makes me so happy to look at it! ⠀

I have a SUPER busy few weeks ahead of me. I'm giving a poster presentation tomorrow (?!) on my current work for the first time! Then I have to submit my written proposal to my committee, they'll decide if it's good enough for a PhD. THEN I have to give an hour long talk the first week of May to my committee so they can ask me questions and see what I've been up to. I'm super excited to share my work, but holy moly it's taken A LOT of time! Is it a busy time for everyone? Or just me?
These remarkable images were created by Dr. Rashi Karunasinghe during her IBRO-USCRC North American Lab Activity where she was hosted by Dr. Hari Shroff at the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering in Bethesda, MD, USA, for a month. .

The video is a recording of actin particles moving through developing neurons. The following images are high resolution light microscopy images of developing neurons, acquired for protein and sugar localisation studies (first), studies on the actin cytoskeleton at the leading edge of developing neurites (second), and particle tracking of actin dynamics (third). #ibro #ibroneuroscience #ibroinsta #neuroscience #brain #sciart #scienceart #science #neuroart #nervoussystem #neurons #USA #actin #NIBIB #bethesda #MD #northamericanlabactivity #nala #grants #grant #ibrogrant

French knots with flowers - work in progress. Three days of stitching and I’m only about one quarter done. This is the point in the project where I start questioning 1) if it will turn out the way I want it to 2) if the effort is worth the end result 3)whether I have the stamina to see it over the finish line these feelings usually go away by the time I’m three quarters done but the middle is definitely my rough patch. Am I the only one?
