I was on a refined sugar free challenge for almost 4 months and it was amazing!
I aimed to go #refinedsugarfree till june and I made it! A few days off and loaded with tons of refined sugar, now I can tell refined sugar is such a waste of health!
I’ll leave the explaining part to the nutritionists, and will tell you what I’ve observed during and after the challenge!
refined sugar is a mood killer! It causes mood swings
I felt so bloated during last few days eating chocolate and stuff, I was like an extra bloated baloon!
I had to take lots of Rennie tablets and had a disturbed tummy because of the sugar consumption. refined sugar doesn’t make you energetic! I had difficulties to do my daily short cycling and walking routines! I felt fatigued for no reason! (Well, I know the reason is the sugar)
I can’t beliece we actually pay for something that has no benefit and lots of harms. I think I’ve been saving a lot during the #nosugarchallenge
it’s also harmful for teeth. I don’t even need to mention it makes you fat
Finally, I’ve decided to cut the sugar loaded days shorter than I’d planned because I’ve realized how useless refined sugar actually is. Today I’ve started a new period, I can’t even call it a “challenge” anymore because it’s not challenging to quit refined sugar, challenging is to consume a big amount of sugar and try and carry on an active life style.
So, no refined sugar till next year and it will be really easy for me after realizing how it damages me physically and mentally.
Note to those who thinks “oh I could never do that”: I had a seripus sugar addiction. I’d been eating one jar of chocolate in every two days. There were days I’d consumed half kilo of chocolate. If I can do this, everything is possible in this life.

Ingredients:
40g coconut flour
30g vanilla protein powder
5g maca powder
45g smooth natural peanut butter
70-80ml unsweetened almond milk
15g sugar free maple syrup

Toppings:
30g sugar free chocolate, melted
5g coconut oil, melted
5g crushed salted dry-roasted peanuts

Directions:
1. Combine all the ingredients and press firmly into a silicon/lined baking tin
2. Freeze for 15min before slicing into 6 squares
3. To make topping, combine chocolate and coconut oil and drizzle chocolate on top of slices
4. Sprinkle with
peanuts and enjoy! To store, keep in an air-tight container in the fridge
Notes: • Makes 6 slices (~125cal, 7p, 5f) • Depending on the protein you use, the more/less liquid you will need

Money spent on refined sugar chocolates and junk food is such a waste. Try going #sugarfree and you’ll see what I mean.
Ingredients:
Cookie dough cups:
1 cup cashews
3/4 cup dates
2 tbs peanut butter (no added sugar) (cashew butter in original recipe)
1 ts vanilla extract
2 tbs cacao powder
Chocolate mousse
1 cup cashew
1 cup coconut milk
1/4 coconut oil
1/2 cacao powder
1/2 cup dates
2 ts vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
I didn’t have cupcake cases at home, so my first try doesn’t look perfectly shaped but incredibly tasty! Highly recommended.
