When you are a #foodie on a trip, no matter where you go, you MUST try out the BEST restaurant that every traveller raves about in their reviews. If you were to google for places to eat at #nusalembongan the top result including ALL reviews indicate that #nyomanswarung is the place to be. Well, we just have to give them the benefit of the doubt by trying them out ourselves. Nothing to lose here since we are already so hungry from the bike ride around both #lembongan and #ceningan We ordered their super famous “Grilled Jacket Fish”, “Special Mee Goreng” and “Spicy Prawns In Banana Leaves” to go with drinks. Happy to report that food were indeed freshly cooked and served hot which is superb. They got the flavour going for both the grilled jacket fish and prawns which were not over cooked (very, very impressive indeed). Their special Mee Goreng could do with a bit more spice and prawns instead of tuna fish as that would definitely take the plate to another level (just my humble opinion) but, nevertheless, it was pretty good. The prices here are super affordable with the whole meal costing less than AUD20. As for the location, they are at the beach front so a good place to have dinner while enjoying the sunset. Just like any other places all over Lembongan, there are flies everywhere which might be an issue for some. Just request for them to light more candles so that they won’t be a bother. If you are looking for day trips to Ceningan, Pak Joni there can arrange them for you. Ask the staff for him and he’ll look after all your needs. We burped all the way back to the hotel, had a shower and slept soundly dreaming of more good food to sample. When in Nusa Lembongan, Warung hopping is a good idea in this island! Most warungs are located by the beach and they serve really good local food. At Nyoman’s Warung, this Grilled Yellow Jacket Fish and the fish satay stole our heart! The fish was SUPER FRESH!
