YALL. How cool are these Acuvue Oasys Transition contact lenses!? • • Transition lenses, the ones that get dark when you go outside on a sunny day, have long been available in glasses. They are finally available as contact lenses and today I snagged a sample! I naturally have green eyes, and this is what my eyes look like after 30 seconds outside on a partly cloudy day. These lenses help block some of the harmful UV light our eyes are exposed to and help the eyes adapt to different lighting conditions. There has been a major development in the world of contact lenses! UV Blocking Contact Lenses. That’s right, prescription contact lens sunglasses! These are created by @acuvue and are called the Oasys with Transitions and were introduced to me by eye doc extraordinaire, @elisebrisco @hollywoodeyes. She is really at the forefront when it comes to developments in the optical arena. If you swipe left you can see what they look like in my eyes. They are purple around the iris and overall my iris looks darker when the uv protection is activated. I’ve worn them out and about a few times and I can’t even tell when they transition to darker.
