Spent this past weekend in Ocean Shores, and I was surprised by how beautiful the beach was! Felt like I was back in California for a sec. It was even warm enough to bust out my new suit from @albionfit that I’m absolutely obsessed with (linked in stories!) Who remembers when I used to live in San Diego?!

I’m sure by now you’ve noticed my whale tattoo. I feel the most myself swimming in the sea, and feel such an intense connection to marine life. Whales are incredible creatures and for years I would dream about them. I love listening to the sounds they make. I lived in Pismo Beach for a time, and nearly every day I would see them. We need to do our best at preserving our beautiful oceans. So many times I’ve seen beaches littered with trash. I love the idea of sustainability and being mindful of how much plastic I use. Even starting out with small changes can make a huge difference! So... if you have any tips on using less plastic, let’s educate each other in the comments! Save this post to come back to later when you need tips for using less plastic! One of my favorite tips, because it’s so easy, is not using plastic straws. Reusable bamboo and metal straws are so easy to pack, and they’re cheap! I would love to hear how you’re practicing sustainability!
