Bull sharks are one of the few species of sharks that are able to transition between salt and fresh water. This trait is rare, as most sharks lose sodium in fresh water, causing organ failure and even death. However, Bull sharks are able to regulate their sodium levels, storing needed minerals internally by diluting their urine, while extracting what sodium is available in the freshwater. They are so effective at this self regulation, that they can in fact go their entire lives living in fresh water!

The tentacles are of equal complexity to our arms, if not more so. Just as we can be left or right handed, so too can an octopus favor any one of its eight tentacles! However, one of the most peculiar facts of these tentacles comes from the third right arm of the male octopus. This particular tentacle is used as the reproductive organ! Sometimes he will even detach this tentacle entirely and throw it at the female! Don’t worry though, it grows back!
