Tariq and Chantal A portrait is not made in the camera but on either side of it - This is a such a powerful statement when you talk about Tariq and Chantal. Its not everyday you meet a photographers who are willing to step in front of the camera and its not everyday you find photographers who fall in love with each other. Tariq and Chantal have been making portraits of each other for while now. They have been making portraits together on either side of the camera. To make a portrait on either side of the camera it means that there needs to be connection between there person in front of the camera and the person behind the camera. Personal Log I have never had a shoot before with photographers before. I didn't know what to expect, would they want control everything, would they come with a long list of requests, so many things were running through my mind. TRIANNA & JERRY Congrats to this amazing couple. I met Jerry and Trianna while they were on vacation in Jamaica in early 2018. They wanted a few pics while they were here, so they reached out to me and we met to do a photosession. We had a great time taking photos and getting to know each other. Fast Forward to early 2019, they called me and said hey man you need to come and do this wedding, before I could answer yes all my travel arrangements were made. . . The story about this shot is a story of falling in love with your soul mate. Whenever Jerry looks into Trianna eyes they always burst out in a laugh some smile comes out, I am not exactly sure what the inside joke is. For this shot I asked Jerry to stand at the by the car and look into Trianna eyes and like clockwork that smile came out. Getting to know your clients is key. Understanding their body language. What they like and don't like could be helpful in creating am image to remember. I have been really good to all been missing for maybe 6/8 weeks but it was for a good reason. I will explain later. How I got the Shot I only had a few minutes to get this shot. Wedding Coordinators are like Chris we have to go. I am like wait one minute, I need this one. I wanted get a shot that would  draw attention to the brides eyes, the make up, the bouquet and the details on the brides dress while remaining Clean, Simplistic, Beautiful. I centered the bouquet then asked the bride to look down and smile. The only issue is now is that my AD600 (my fav lighting kit) is downstairs and all I have with me with my Flashpoint Zoom TTL R2 Flash So I did decided use the Flashpoint Zoom TTL R2 Flash pointing it in the direction of ceiling to create a nice even fill light. __________ Challenges  The Cleaning lady behind the Bride and the cleaning cart.  Legit the cleaning lady is standing right behind bride but I stepped forward to get close enough to the bride that you would not see the cleaning lady.
