I had had a pretty difficult day, I remember! That morning I had walked from our hotel in Rome to the Train Station with my luggage in one hand and the google maps in the other. All the while turning back to see if my mom was alright with dragging her bag. First time at an European Train Station was pretty confusing. The announcements and boards in Italian didn’t really help. Looking at two confused Indians, one man started talking to us in Italian and gestured us to follow him. As I was making up my mind about him, he started dragging my mom’s bag. I followed him in complete panic, to realise he was showing us a chart where our train number and probable platform number was mentioned. I felt really stupid and started to thank him, that’s when he started asking for money. I didn’t know whether it was okay to get my wallet out, there in front of him. So I just uttered an awkward “grazie” and left. After reaching Naples our designated driver was nowhere to be found. Nor could I reach him. 2 hours and a few phone calls later, we were finally on our way to Positano. Thought now is the time to relax and let go, only to realise that our journey is all about winding roads and sharp turns. My motion sickness kicked in and how! Our hotel, a very pretty sea facing property, came with a price. Had to go down a number of steps with the luggage of a ‘fashion blogger’ (regretted carrying so much stuff, but wouldn’t do it any other way too ) Finally, it was time for food and we just decided to enter the first restaurant we would come across. And we came to this! This stunning view, this yummy food, this very quaint decor.
