Вот я видел,и это были настолько строгие и в то же время добрые(если так можно сказать о снимке) черно-белые фотографии,что мне захотелось когда-нибудь сделать что-то подобное и со своей семьёй! You are the winner ❣️ it seems early to talk about Lent - but preparing for Sunday School made me realize it’s only a month away. I really love the time set aside for Great Lent - and also the upcoming time of preparing for Great Lent. I love that all of the seasons of fasting prepares us for seasons of feasting - and that this liturgical life draws the messy-ness, the unpredictableness of life - into an order and a rhythm - that is just so good, something we all need - to stay focused on what is needful amidst the chaff of what is not needful. Liturgical rhythm - that rhythm of repentance, the rhythm of praise the rhythm of thanksgiving, the rhythm of Gospel readings, Eucharist and Sacraments. . . Most years I try to read Father Alexander Schmemann book “Great Lent : A School of Repentance”. (It’s actually an awesome book to read with teenagers.). That book always reminds me that our mother the Church actually understands how cRaZy and unpredictable and messy is life - especially where says “Knowing our lack of concentration, the worldliness of our life, the Church calls our attention to the seriousness of the approaching event.... this preparation includes four consecutive Sunday’s preceding Lent” and he also says that “repentance is primarily the recovery of the spirit of love: ‘By this all men will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another.” Such good encouragement. . . ❣️The giveaway ❣️ an icon of Christ and the Theotokos from Greece, eight pure beeswax candles and a box of my favorite matches.
