Australia has started to test a number of drainage mesh socks so plastic can’t reach the river or seas. It’s so satisfying to see plastic being captured by a net, rather than animals being captured by plastic. More giant socks please!

Repost from @Taylor.pforwords  "An easy way to prolong the life of your eucalyptus is to add it to your bath!  When I first get a bunch of eucalyptus, I tie it to my showerhead to release it’s oils during showers. It helps decongest stuffy noses, boosts energy and mental clarity, and ease sore, achy muscles. . But after a few weeks, the eucalyptus dries out. Rather than compost it right then and there, I take the petals off the stalk and grind them up to help release any remaining oils.  You can add that directly to your bath or, if you’re lazy like me and don’t want to clean that up, throw some in a cotton cloth and tie to your faucet when you run your bath. I just used a old cotton cloth I made previously from old bed sheets and used a rubber band that came wrapped around some lettuce I bought. .
