Bench only core workout

These core exercises are great for if you want a quick 20 min workout. I don't usually do core since I am incorporating it everyday with exercises like the squat or isolation where I have to balance one side. I really only focus on core 2-3x a week. I use ONLY a park bench for this workout but you can modify it to the gym bench or even the floor. Remember to BREATHE properly during this, don't be holding your breath while performing the exercises. . The workout

(I did about 4 rounds of this workout straight through with reps ranging from 8--15, you can also do each exercise as a set instead of rounds)

1️⃣Leg raises w hip lift
2️⃣Alternating bird dogs
3️⃣Side plank w rotations: keep your shoulders engaged here, once I popped my shoulder outta my socket while doing a side plank cause I wasn't engaging my muscles
4️⃣Seated crunch
5️⃣Forearm plank ups

♀️ UPPER BODY WORKOUT
4 ROUNDS ( 15 15/15 a side )
Already warmed up from my #Orangetheory workout so took 20 minutes to get in an upper body workout with a @SPRI superband. *** Frame 5- I call that a “PEC CHECK”. I making sure I’m using my pec muscles . Habit !!! Why staggered legs ? For over 20 years I’ve worked out like this . “I” , yes “ I” am in better control of “ MY”upper body this way . If my feet are both hip width apart in certain exercises I feel my lower back especially on the last reps where I might be struggling and trying to LEAN BACK & put it someplace else . I’ve NEVER had hip flexor issues. I switch legs each round (forward/ back) to make it equal . This is MY way and it works for MY body .

Um also notice that yes! I have stomach rolls too! We all at least have a little bit of roll when we crunch or sit down. It’s just how it is and we need to accept our little rolls ♀️

To get to where you don’t have any fat that will bunch when you sit down is not sustainable and not very healthy. We all need a bit of fat on us to be able to live a healthy lifestyle!
