A haircut ✨ This afternoon Frida asked if she could cut her toy Peter Rabbit's fur. I immediately said no, and then I thought about it. He belongs to her, not me; it wouldn't be harming anyone. So I told her that it was wrong of me to say no and that she could cut his fur, but that I wanted her to understand that once she had cut it I wouldn't be able to stick it back on. You should have seen her face light up. She was so proud and careful, concentrating so hard as she trimmed his fur all over, telling him "I'm giving you a hair cut, I'll just trim the fur on your legs..." Nothing was damaged by her work; her beloved Peter's fur is a little shorter in some places - that's it. But so much was gained. A small moment, but a powerful reminder for me to trust my child, and that her life is not mine to control.

Wanted to share a little behind the scenes snippet of ‘a day in the life’ of our founder, Estela. It certainly isn’t all rosy, and perfectly pictured like these photos, but here goes | Monday thru Friday for this mompreneur it looks something like this: 1️⃣ Wake up with a few minutes of gratitude, 2️⃣ Make sure she and her family has the most nutritional breakfast (vegan smoothies), some-times its a fail because she likes her sleep ‍♀️. But she always has on lipstick and a smile . 3️⃣Checks her phone (mostly instagram) 4️⃣ Some form of exercise (tennis , walking, strength training, dance, yoga ‍♀️ or hiking) 5️⃣ Huddles with #TeamSwitch‍♀️, then works, works and works anywhere but often from home and the studio. 6️⃣ Gets frustrated by some deadline missed, or disappointing news she hears about, BUT she quickly refocuses on the positive and why that just wasn’t meant to be! 7️⃣ Connects with purists in person and on the phone ☎️ for custom recs 8️⃣ When she is lucky socializes with friends, takes pics around town that embarrass her to the core 9️⃣ Back to mom duty - she drives always late ‍♀️ but always brainstorming Switch2Pure Ideas She closes out the evening (after homeowork and gluten free, dairy free meals) sports and more driving with a wrap up (things not completed today and makes plan to slay the next day ‍♀️ sometimes overwhelmed and sometimes not). ✨✨✨It isn’t always perfect (like the time she shredded her knee playing tennis, or the time she had autoimmune symptoms in full force and got virtigo, or the rejection emails, BUT part of this journey at Switch2Pure is taking these challenges and meeting them head on!
