Skies and a skylark... . Setting this vision up in front of a room full of women at my workshop in Oslo, Norway last year was a rather fun and entertaining experience. I wanted to create a picture that felt soft and hard at the same time, that brought to life my love of strong feminine energy, beautiful creative design, and old paintings. TUESDAY TIP: Finding your EDITING STYLE⁣ ⁣ ✨ While making your own presets ensures unique editing, let’s be real- not everyone is gifted in that! Presets designed by other photographers are a great base to apply your own tweaks to edit your photos with your unique voice. ❤️ If you’ve been struggling with your editing/artistic voice, here are some quick tips ⁣ ⁣ 1st, ask yourself: “What inspires me?” ⁣ ⁣ (This can be beyond photography. Look at everything in life! From furniture decor and clothing styles To colors and food From books and music To nature and buildings . You’ll start to see some common threads that can help you find an editing style and artistic voice to go along with your shooting! )⁣ ⁣ Next, remember these tips: ⁣ Don’t take your love for a photo at face value! (Thanks @bensasso for this tip)⁣ Just because you like someone else’s work, doesn’t mean you should edit JUST like them. ⁣ Just because you like a photo doesn’t mean you like the EDITING specifically. ⁣ If you like the editing of an image, what about it do you like? Is it the grain? The sharpness? ✂️ The shadows? The highlights? The creativity? The vibrance? The desaturation? The tonal curve?
