I do love a Teaser Tuesday post ... and I love a Matwork Challenge post so it’s always fun to be able to combine them ☺️. This Flow from Carrie @russopilates is extra fun as it combines Hundreds with the Abdominal series & a Teaser finale! The challenge was also to perform them all within 60 seconds and I must admit I cheated a bit by reducing my half ‘Hundred’ to ‘Eighty’ . Still a great ab challenge though! #matworkchallenge @russopilates & #teasertuesday @laurabpilates
Posting for #mickiphitlegs and this week it’s the Thigh Stretch or Hinge ⚪️
Now this is a tricky exercise, especially if you have tight quads like me! However, it is also a great way to work the quads in a lengthened position ⚪️
Key teaching points:
•Strongly engage glutes to prevent hips from flexing
•Engage abs to prevent back from arching
•Try to stay in 1 straight line from knees to head
•Only go back as far as is comfortable for your knees
•Add the ball for extra load therefore extra challenge ⚪️
Take a look at @mickiphit doing this exercise as she does it beautifully ⚪️ #thighstretch
Posting today for #healingwithpilates 59 ~ Women Empowering Women & I’m with my lovely friend Gen @thebodypilatessydney
We both love Side Leg work and decided to ramp it up by taking it off the ground with extra band resistance. A great way to turn it from just lower body work into total body with extra balance challenge too
Key teaching points:
• keep lifted through upper body (spread fingers out and think of pushing floor away)
• strongly engage glutes and abductors of bottom leg throughout
• don’t forget to smile

Hi guys! As you know I love a Matwork Flow and I also love a Challenge so here is my post for new challenge #pilatestvwithnancy hosted by beautiful @nancycastiglioni and @pilatestv I loved this flow so kept it pretty true to the original, but with the addition of a little move toward the end I like to call the ‘Eel’ #matwork
It’s #fitballfriday here in Sydney and I’m posting today for week 12 #pilatesfitballfun17 ⚪️
I love any opportunity to work my glutes and this is a particularly fun and challenging way to get some glute action! ⚪️
You can play around with working from toes or heels (which will change the muscular emphasis slightly) but pushing through big toe, little toe & centre of heel will give the best balance of all the muscles ⚪️
I have overly flexible feet, so I struggle with single leg work in particular, but that’s a good reason to do it, right?
I always use the AoK Duraball Pro Plus as it’s BPA & Phthalate free. Take a look at their range available through @thefitballshop ⚪️
Thank you to # hosts

Happy weekend from Sydney ☺️ Posting today for #healingwithpilates wk 54 Hamstring strength. I particularly like these Leg Curls on Long Box as they emphasise the lower fibres of the hamstrings (support for the back of the knee), also you get nice activation for glutes & back extensors ... and the addition of toning balls for the arms brings in the rest of the back line muscles too ... Simples! ☺️#hamstringcurls
Working on bridge and spine mobility on the reformer this beautiful Sunday morning. I love bridge on the reformer because it also works shoulder stability in order to push and keep the carriage closed. Especially for those of us that sit most of the day, it is so important not to neglect spine mobility. In the words of Joseph Pilates “You are only as young as your spine is flexible.” #stronginmycalvins #CKPARTNER
