♦️You have too much skill, too much experience, too much of a great personality, etc to be selling yourself short. Why are you still in that relationship if you know you deserve better? Why are you still at that job when your experience can get you a better salary? Why are you not charging your clients a premium when you know your work is quality? Understand you were put on this earth for GREATNESS
.
.
.
. ♂️I know why I didn't. I was scared of hearing "no" But now hearing no just means that they can't afford what I'm truly worth and I know I'll find someone that will VALUE me. .

If you're feeling this give me a "I KNOW MY WORTH!!" down in the comments. #PhenomMentality

When I was a teen my pastor used to say, “You have to see a thing in your mind before it manifests in the physical.”
When I was living in a shelter in high school I used to write in my journal that’d I’d be a successful motivational speaker. What are you seeing for yourself?
P.S. Yes I had on my Apple Bottom jeans and matching shirt with my Chinese store sandals. That’s beside the point.
Listen lady, you don’t need a fat ass, big breasts, or a snatched waist to be sexy. Sexiness, confidence, and high self esteem comes from within.
.
I used to be so insecure because of my petite frame. People called me sticks, said I was shaped like a boy, said I had chicken legs etc...
.
Today, I work out regularly, eat healthy, and build the body I want in the gym. My boobs, they’re what I call “Barely B’s” (b cups), one is bigger than the other, I have stretch marks, hyperpigmentation, and a bunch of other flaws many don’t highlight on social media.
.
Who gives a f*ck? Like really... A bad ass body doesn’t keep a man or woman. A bad ass body doesn’t make you happy. Clarity, wholeness, and purpose is what I’m shooting for. This earthly body serves me well by allowing me to drive my mission and make an impact
.
When we die, this body will be futile. Our spirit though, that’s the real us
.
Love yourself and all those beautiful flaws .

"I come as one, but I stand as 10,000" - Maya Angelou. In a world where your racial identity can influence your starting point in life, the experiences of people with multi racial identities are nuanced. My guest this week on the @griotpodcast is Yolanda Finette @yolandafinette who is a first nations woman from the Yorta Yorta clan. She is also African American and Greek. In this episode we talk about racial identity, specifically multi racial identity. How does one navigate multiple racial and cultural identities? How does society treat people with multiple racial and cultural identities? What exactly is racial impostor syndrome? What happens when one of those racial identities belongs to an ancestor who was responsible for the oppression of your people? Search The Griot Podcast on Apple, Spotify and Soundcloud. Link in bio.
