This one is from my solo trek to BANER HILL Baner hill is a hill that separates two suburbs of Pune, Pashan and Baner. The hill is the third highest point within the city limits, with an elevation of 2224 ft, surpassed by the Vetal Hill and the Surtarwadi Hill. There is a temple located in the northern foot of the hill Tukai Devi Mandir Baner (Established 400 years ago). The place is an excellent getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city and provides a great morning trek location for the weekends.One can see people coming up early in the morning every Sunday and working in groups to make the place greener. This citizens group in Baner has taken up the challenge of the plantation on Baner hillside. One can view the whole of baner on one side and the pashan area from the other. The place is actually the home for a plantation drive that has been taken up enthusiastically by the locals, helped by numerous volunteers. The group has also taken up bird watching and nature education sessions for schools in the neighborhood. Austria is one of the countries where drinking water is getting used to flush toilets! Everybody who has been to an underdeveloped country knows how incredible this is ‍♀️ Did you know that the amount of water we consume daily to drink, to cook, for little hygiene (not showering or bathing), to wash our clothes and dishes is summed up the same as we use to flush our toilets And it gets worse, if households have an old toilet tank it consumes 9 liters per flush, they say an adult goes 7 times to the restroom a day, so do the math! If you install a new system you’ll be using around 3 liters for number one and 6 liters for number two (I’ve always wanted to use this emoji ) You’ll be saving more than 50 per cent of your regular water consumption at the toilet How do you save water at home?
