When I arrived in UK a few years back, I remember going to Bibury (cotswolds I think), and we went into a really cute café to eat a scone. It was honestly the worst scone I've ever eaten, I obviously complained and the owner, very not friendly, said "oh I'm surprised they're freshly baked from this morning..." didn't even apologise and I still had to pay even if i barely touched it.. Anyway I'm no queen scones myself but I value food that is made with love and respect..
