We’ve been offline for a spell, because our daughter and son-in-law had their first baby, making us GRANDPARENTS!! . . . We did it!!! We read 180 books together this year in 5th grade!!! When I finished reading our last book today, my students applauded! I cannot put into words the countless ways this practice positively impacted our classroom community. It was everyone’s favorite part of the day! #classroombookaday will absolutely return in 19-20!!! ❤️

Alaskan souvenir loot... oops— more books! We couldn’t help it, we’ve all got the bite to know more about this beautiful land. Also, the “Good Night” books are pretty dang corny but the boys LOVE THEM , we have several of them & we are excited to add Alaska to our collection. I began every day of our trip with “Are we ready to share a wonderful day?!” (its how each Good Night book begins ) & I think my husband was about ready to throw me overboard by the end of it. Summer evening in the garden with herbal tea and 8 week old Innes, while the children make mud pies and salad from grasses and wildflowers. ☺️ .
