#transformationtuesday I struggled posting this. I just am posting for accountability. I have been working on me - for me. Not for anyone else. Cliche- yes. It true (finally). I’m not posting this in the hopes of getting compliments. I’ve been wondering though if people have noticed a physical change because sometimes I can’t tell if it’s noticeable. I know I am wearing a different size. I know I haven’t been losing this weight fast, but it has been pretty steady. My focus has really been on making healthier choices - not in the way of eating food that will help me lose weight - but in foods that actual have nutrients and will help this body age better and function better. I began this quest for better health in January. (Period). It fascinates me how incredible the body and mind can be when you really focus. The pic on the left was from April. SOME of what I ate today. Man, I have got to get better at taking pics of the food I eat! So not only is it Father’s Day today but it’s also my husbands bday! First pic was my dinner from @popsforitalian - seared scallops in a cauliflower purée. Seriously good! Had a couple glasses of red wine and we finished dinner with a fruit pizza - go JUST FOR THAT! Next pic is my breakfast. Avocado tomato eggs on Ezekiel bread. Didn’t picture my lunch - which was leftovers. Half a sweet potato black bean burrito and green beans. It felt so good to be back in the parks again on Saturday! Being back on here (through my story) and being in the parks reminded me why I started this account. • I love Disney and the joy it brings me but also how it inspires me. I want to share that joy and inspiration with the world. • I am 26 years old and I often ask myself what am I doing with my life but more importantly what am I doing for others. • That is what brought me here. I wanted to be able to bring a little bit of joy to other people’s lives by sharing my Disney adventures. • In the beginning I spent a lot more time behind the camera rather than in front of it. I love taking pictures but I also remembered my love of being in photos, my grandma use to love taking pictures and I would pose for her all the time (she called me her little diva). • Long story short, I started this account to inspire people and to bring joy to others and the longer I had my account the more joy I found in it. Until I didn’t because I felt like I didn’t have the time to dedicate to this account others had and it wasn’t successful so what was the point. This weekend I remembered the point. I just finished color commentating for the 2018 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary , that was aired on @nbcolympics / @nbcsports / @nbc . It was awesome. I said yes when asked even though... I didn’t know what color commentating was! I just knew that I had an opportunity to be a voice that was reflective of the sport and women- and these Shera’s deserved it/me to jump on the opportunity. And one of my friends won a world title. 73 countries heard me scream with delight to see my friend, @adelinegray win an epic wrestling ‍♀️ match! Thank you, @juliefoudy for my last minute pointers.
