So.... A hell of lot of fake tan, stage make up, sparkly bikinis & platform heels usually aren't my thing. But challenging myself & doing things that both scare & excite me certainly are

The very thought of standing on a stage, in a bikini, being judged frightened the absolute crap out of me. Which is exactly why I did it Truth be told I think it might actually be a little scarier posting these pics here, but after so much encouragement from my beautiful clients I thought what the hell. If I can just inspire 1 person to challenge themselves, it’s worth it
.
I had a goal to step in to my 40’s not only looking, but feeling my best and this journey wasn't about loosing weight, it was about getting stronger both physically & mentally. I’ve been determined for the past few years to have abs & since I tried everything else it was time to take it up a notch
.
This was the real reason behind my trip to LA last month & these photos are from both the @nabba_wff_australia national titles October in Melbourne (placing 2nd) & the world titles November in LA (placing 4th) 30+ sports model. Chuffed with both results, given it was only my first crack!

You pushed me when I was strong & hugged when I wasn’t .
For 4 1/2 half months you worked my ass off & being a woman of my word I stayed on track never cheating, which leaves me super proud of what we created together. Although I’m totally proud of where I’m at right now, I’m still so far away from where I want to be, so the journey doesn’t end here.

Day 72/365. Today I started to teach myself how to do toe-toe spins!!! My previous spins have been heel-toe spins. These new toe spins are harder to me because you are spinning on both tippy toes. But after watching a @planetrollerskate tutorial on toe spins with @indyjammajones and @marawa giving some pro tips, I felt equipped with the right knowledge to try it for myself! .

For my first go-around I’m actually pretty impressed with myself! I definitely need more practice but I think I’ll have these down soon! And y’all, I can’t describe the feeling that gives me! 6 months ago I would’ve never believed I could do these spins, and here I am 6 months later, just a straight spinning fool! ♀️ I can’t wait to see what these spins look like in 6 months! .

Got a good core workout. A lot of people do abs in high volume or in high reps. Your abs are still a muscle group so train it like one.
I grab a pad for my knees and use the rope attachment on the pulley machine, I do 4 sets of 10.
•things I focus on are getting full range of motion.
•empty your lungs and squeeze your abs as you pull the rope down to the ground.
•try your best not to move your lower back.

It’s Monday Today’s plan of attack... train, get groceries, meal prep, get the last of the assignments for my Cert III in fitness done and do a little nutrition based learning ✔️ Pushing towards your goals is important but so is not having unrealistic expectations when it comes to how much you can achieve in one day. Sometimes it might seem that with all that you did, it wasn’t enough and you didn’t achieve much at all. One of the most common reasons why people do not achieve their aspired goals is because they constantly give up due to too high expectations:
They have no patience.
They start (if at all) a new project, or want to change something in their lives and give up at the first smallest stone they have to cross.
“It doesn't work.“
“It is too difficult.“
“I'm not the type for it.“
“Why should I make it?“
“This always happens to me.“
“I am too late now.“
...
and all these excuses, which people always have, are used then.

But in truth these people are just too lazy and don't believe in themselves.
In life NOBODY believes in you, so YOU have to believe in YOURSELF!
That is the very first step, otherwise nothing works at all.
As a second step you should pursue your goal in a focused way and not give up.
NOT GIVING UP IS THE RESULT OF PATIENCE!
All people who are very good at something have not learned this overnight:
no master has fallen from heaven yet!

In life, patience is needed in every area.
You have to give things time to grow, like a small plant that grows into a big plant. This doesn't just happen overnight and requires a lot of energy, work, time and above all WILLPOWER.
I see so many people out there who just don't have patience anymore and it's almost embarrassing how high their expectations are.
In life you have to work and stick to things.
You can't expect to get something for free.
Many believe that and therefore it is fundamentally important to give time to all things and to look at all things like a plant which you have to care for.
It needs water and sunshine every day to thrive.

The same goes for life.
You just have to do things over and over again.
Repeat Repeat Repeat.
Patience Patience Patience.
And over time, what you have strived for will come closer and closer and you will already see the first results.
Like when we all started to train.
That took time until the first results were visible.
So stick to things and don't give up.
