It’s about how forefoot running is naturally protective against so may injurious outcomes of the lower leg, such as chronic exertional compartment syndrome (CECS), a loaded term which basically means throbbing, persistent lower leg pain during running that worsens with increased running activity and stops as soon as you stop running. Compact your stride to stay healthy. - quicken your cadence. Aim for 178-182 steps per minute. - engage your hamstrings and pull your foot under butt. Using your glutes and hamstrings will natural shorten your stride.
