Tartelette de Fruit - A @sakizoillustrator design We're proud to present our newest commission for @floralghislaine! This is our second Sakizo cosplay, we absolutely adore her style and it was a joy bringing such an elaborate piece to fruition. We stayed as close as possible to the original design, except for some minor alterations at the client’s request. The entire bustle is full fabric with built-in cages and frames to help holding its unique silhouette. Various fabrics and techniques went into the bulk of creating this bustle. The fruit pieces throughout the outfit are all cut out of foam, hand-painted and dusted with glitter for that glorious pop of colours. The portrait gems are resin cast, individually strung onto huge tassels and ruffles around the entire piece. Since this was such a special order, we also created the wig to go with the elaborate headdress as well! The Apprentice is such a fun design!  Fantasy of the Dream is our favorite Sakizou book because of the darker design slant - I'd love to see another book like this in the future but for now I guess we'll just keep wearing these two cosplays!  This cosplay involves a hefty amount of buckram both in the hips/tails as well as in the hat in order to hold all of the shaping in place.
