WOMEN WHO RUN WITH THE WOLVES | “In a single human being there are many other beings, all with their own values, motives, and devices. Some psychological technologies suggest we arrest these beings, count them, name them, force them into harness till they shuffle along like vanquished slaves. But to do this would halt the dance of the wildish lights in a woman’s eyes; it would halt her heat lightening and arrest all throwing of sparks. Rather than corrupt her natural beauty, our work is to build for all these beings a wildish countryside wherein artists among them all can make, the lovers love, the healers heal.” @dr_clarissa_pinkola_estes .

All creatures must learn that there exist predators. Without this knowing, we will be unable to negotiate safely within our own piece of nature without being devoured. To understand the predator is to become a mature animal who is not vulnerable out of naïveté, inexperience, or foolishness.
.
.
.
And though we might have mercy upon it, our first actions must be to recognize it, to protect ourselves from its devastation, and ultimately to deprive it of its murderous energy.
.
.
.
Whatever dilemma we find ourselves in, the voices of the elders in our psyches continue to urge us to consciousness and to be wise in our choices. We begin to question, “What is behind the visible? What is it that causes that shadow to loom upon the wall?” We pursue these mysteries until the substance of the matter is laid open to us. And as we shall see, the ability to stand what we see enables us to return to our deep nature, there to be sustained in all thoughts, feelings, actions. .
.
.
Yesterday afternoon I spoke out against the proposed I-11 freeway that threatens to devastate our Sonoran Desert, wiping out everything in its path; untouched pristine desert land, wildlife, and those of us who have marked a piece of this wild land as our own sanctuary. .
.
.
We must not be naive, but take this time to become cunning and strengthen ourselves for the final battle. We must stall for time, bide our time, plan our strategies and call up our power internally, so that we can make the external changes necessary.
PUBLIC MEETING TO SPEAK OUT AGAINST PROPOSED I-11 PROJECT | Many people don’t know about this proposed new freeway and so there aren’t enough people speaking out against it. There’s just 1 more public meeting THIS SATURDAY, 5/11, 11am-4pm at Marana High School where you can register to speak in opposition of this destructive proposal. .
.
.
I attended the public meeting at TCC last night with my partner who spoke out against it. It was very disheartening to see the lack of support for protecting our Sonoran Desert Land and her Wildlife, not to mention the amount of private homeowners who will be forced out of their land, including myself and my Sacred @yoga_alchemy_sanctuary
.
.
.
If you’re able to attend this Saturday, I encourage you to schedule a time to speak. You will only get 3 minutes to voice your opinions and the statements we make must be in a language these business men can relate to. Meaning we can’t arrive emotionally charged, but well-versed and educated about why this is unacceptable. .
.
.
If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can still send your comments through email. The Desert and Wildlife can’t win this without us. And if we want our sacred home to remain free of this destruction, we must act now! If you have questions, feel free to message me. I’m listing the link in my bio for easy access to the ways you can learn more and become involved. .
.
.
At best, I hope to see a room full of familiar and new faces this Saturday who are willing to stand up and speak out against this atrocity. At least, please take just a moment to share this and take 5 minutes to send your disapproval of this proposed plan for this unnecessary destruction of our land. .
